Choosing Publicis Sapient

Atith, an accomplished Management Consultant, took the chance on Publicis Sapient a couple of months ago and has so far been stretched, challenged, and encouraged in new ways.

Tell me about your professional journey and your decision to join Publicis Sapient.

In 2004 I started my career at a large software firm in India. Through my 5 years there, I had the opportunity to build software for large global banks and live in London and Hong Kong before moving to the US. I then went on to be an advisor to some of the world’s largest banks – helping them transform their financial operations in the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis.

Eventually, I transitioned to the data and digital space, incubating and scaling a data & analytics business and running their strategic partnerships portfolio.

I came to Publicis Sapient because I was inspired by the work the Management Consulting team was doing. I was inspired by the leadership team who embodied the skills, behaviors, and presence that I aspire to embody one day, and by the opportunity to solve some of the hard, gnarly problems that institutions face today – at the intersection of finance, digital trends, and data. I came here to raise the bar for myself, to experience professional and personal growth.

How would you describe the work you do for our clients, to your friends and family?

Solving some of the hardest problems that help organizations operate in a new world where the pace of change is hyper-accelerated, the rate of change is transient, and customer centricity is essential. This involves deconstructing the complexities that organizations deal with, into simple easy-to-understand ideas and delivering long term value accretive solutions. Most importantly, tying these solutions to business outcomes.

What is your favorite part of Publicis Sapient so far?

I’ve only been with Publicis Sapient for a couple of months but so far, my favorite part is the work itself. On one initiative, we’ve been thinking about how an organization should measure its culture. Something I don’t have prior experience in but in recent weeks I’ve been neck-deep in it with our leadership team, innovation and product specialists across the firm.

The environment is also new, which comes with new demands that require that I navigate a steep learning curve. This is challenging and stretching my skills in new ways that are both encouraging and enjoyable.

What do you enjoy in your spare time?

I spend time with my wife, work out and try to stay fit. I enjoy high-altitude trekking expeditions; I’ve done Mount Everest Base Camp, summitted Mount Kilimanjaro, and more. When time permits, I also like to scuba dive.
