This year, over 450 Publicis Sapient junior associates, associates and senior associates, alongside over 50 coaches, participated in our annual Aspire SPEED Hackathon with the goal of building solutions that matter. Our hackathoners designed 73 innovative ideas over a period of 48 hours in February!

The Publicis Sapient Hackathon Experience
Each year, our Aspire SPEED Hackathon aims to shine a light on our early career team members by bringing together cross-capability teams (SPEED: Strategy, Product, Experience, Engineering, and Data) to compete to deliver real-world generative AI solutions that demonstrate passion, creativity and innovative thinking.
At the heart of our hackathon is collaboration, and just like in our work for clients, each team member plays a vital role in bringing innovative ideas to life.
For example, one 2024 team outlined their roles as:
Strategy: Leads the team discussion and brainstorming, aligning everyone on the needs being solved for, the business benefits and the value proposition
Product: Defines the future state and minimum viable product (MVP) feature set and helps guide design
Experience: Creates the user experience (UX) wireframes and user interface (UI) design
Engineering & Data: Leads the team in software and generative AI knowledge and how it can inform product design and creates the architecture diagram

Over the challenging yet rewarding sprint, through intensive ideation sessions and iterative problem-solving, we tackled complex challenges, with each team member contributing unique insights. “I have participated in many hackathons at Publicis Sapient, and I must say this was the most fun I have had to date. We had a diverse team of people. Using our core values, we collaborated effectively. Generative AI-based tools greatly enhanced our overall output, and I believe our productivity was much greater than any one of us could have had with weeks instead of 48 hours. In the end, our bond was so great it felt like we had been working together for months.”
Our annual Aspire SPEED Hackathons are just one example of how our teams come together to solve problems and create impact.
