Beyond Benefits: 3 Programs to Support Our Teams’ Holistic Wellness

Prioritizing employee well-being is more than providing traditional benefits—although we do offer an extensive package of those as well!

Supporting our people also means positively contributing to the communities in which they live, supporting and celebrating their lives outside of work and helping them build connections among each other.

Here are three of our programs that do just that.

Corporate Social Responsibility and Volunteering Opportunities

In 2023, we launched a revamped corporate social responsibility (CSR) team to drive and manage our CSR initiatives in the UK. These initiatives focus on the positive impact we can make as an organization on society, the environment and the economy.

Our corporate social responsibility team is comprised of PSers of different backgrounds and career levels.

One way that our people make a meaningful impact is through PS-supported volunteering opportunities—including global, local and virtual volunteer activities that support important causes such as human rights, education, the environment and empowerment.

  • Community Service Day: Everyone at Publicis Sapient is given one volunteer day each year during which they can give their time and support to an organization that is meaningful to them.
  • Virtual Volunteering: We’ve partnered with a global volunteering platform provider to connect our people to NGSs and organizations from around the world who need virtual volunteer support.
  • Give as You Earn: Publicis Sapient UK employees can opt to donate to any UK charitable cause directly from their pay. All Give as You Earn donations are pre-tax, so it is automatically tax-effective across all tax bands.

We also have partnerships with social mobility charities such as Future Frontiers and You Make It, which are aimed at empowering underprivileged and underrepresented individuals by providing them with the skills, knowledge and opportunities to succeed. We have programs that run throughout the year with these two charities and people can volunteer their time and make a difference.

CAKE Social Events

CAKE London was started in 2009 by a group of PSers who liked to bake and get together to share their treats. What started as a baking group transformed into the official social team of our London office, responsible for most of the social events that bring our colleagues in the area together.

CAKE has done a bit of everything, from pancake days and painting classes to escape room adventures and ‘80s parties.

One of CAKE’s biggest events each year is our Publicis Sapient Summer Party, hosted at a different London venue each summer to celebrate our amazing teams.

The 2023 Summer Party was a carnival theme with activities including a silent disco.

Family Days

Publicis Sapient has embraced flexible work structures, and our teams continue to build their own schedules with remote and in-office days. This allows them to better balance their work and home responsibilities and find a structure that works best for them.

One of the most exciting days in our London office is our Family Fun Day when our teams bring their children into the office for an energetic day full of games and activities for the whole family.
