Celebrating Differences: Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion in the DACH Region

Our team in the DACH region consists of over 300 people from many different regions and different cultural backgrounds. We also work regularly with our colleagues across the globe. For us, diversity and inclusion is not just a designated, special program but an essential part of our work and culture.

Our goal is to create a work environment where every team member feels valued and can make a valuable contribution based on their unique personality, background and skills.

On a fundamental level, this is accomplished through respect and living our core values of engaging with openness, inclusive collaboration and having a learning mindset.

“I have found a strong network of competent colleagues who support me in word and deed. The company’s culture and mindset of colleagues make it easy to approach anyone, get feedback, discuss various topics and continuously learn.”

Structurally we also promote diversity and inclusion through programs and initiatives such as our Business Resource Groups (BRGs), which are dedicated global communities that focus on shared interests, initiatives, identities, allyship and other demographic factors. These groups are employee-led and provide a platform for colleagues to come together, share experiences and plan activities and learning opportunities.

Two of our most popular BRGs in the DACH region are Égalité and VivaWomen! Égalité provides an inclusive and safe workplace for LGBTIQA+ individuals, while VivaWomen! is dedicated to supporting and empowering women in the workplace. These groups provide support, allyship, advocacy, and networking opportunities and promote education within the organization. For example, this year our VivaWomen! community dedicated the entire month of March to raising awareness of equity at work and at home. They organized a series of knowledge sessions that provided valuable insights and practical tips on how to embrace equity in our professional and personal lives. One of the highlights of the month was an external keynote speaker session on "Gender Bias in Artificial Intelligence.”

But we don't just talk the talk—we actively involve our employees in establishing new processes and guidelines. Our People Teams are working closely with the various BRGs and other employees to consider all relevant information and define a communication strategy to ensure a successful roll-out, for example for our updated policy on "Raising Concerns & Grievances/Anti-Harassment.”

We are committed to providing a safe and respectful work environment for all employees. We involve our employees in the organization's development to ensure a learning and collaborative working environment. Join us and be a part of a company that truly values diversity, equity and inclusion and be a part of a team committed to making a positive impact on the world!
