I consider this project one of the major launching points for my growth as a researcher and strategist. I learned so much. This work positioned me well to continue to grow in Publicis Sapient. Since working on this client, I have developed an interest and expertise in the health industry, and our health vertical leaders have empowered me to lead similar projects.
Making a health journey make sense
-
The Problem
For many patients, not being able to get detailed information about their condition and prescribed medications can be a hard pill to swallow. It can also be difficult to find low- or no-cost options. Although U.S. federal law requires all medicines to have their own website, it doesn’t regulate quality or user experience, hindering patients from finding answers to important health questions. A biotech organization came to us with a suite of disparate sites and a goal of improving user experience to help patients more efficiently find answers to their health concerns.
-
The Solution
We worked with patients, caregivers and support staff to create a simplified, cohesive web experience that addressed all stakeholder needs—especially the patients’. The updated portfolio was built with reusable templates to ensure a consistent user experience and compliance with evolving regulations. The new template system also made it easy to build future websites that matched the suite. The information found on these sites was easier to understand, intuitively navigable and helped patients quickly determine if they qualified for financial assistance.

The Impact
The new, streamlined suite of sites removes barriers to treatment by enabling both patients and prescribers to easily understand the affordability of treatment and medications. The new financial aid section, along with accessible and easier-to-understand treatment information, helps patients fill their prescriptions and take their medication as directed—ultimately advancing the organization’s mission of supporting patients, their providers and caregivers throughout their healthcare journeys.
“I always felt deeply supported by the more experienced researchers and health vertical leaders on the team. They continuously empowered me as a significant contributor despite my short tenure. I led parts of interviews, designed and presented part of a workshop and shaped the opportunity areas shared with the client. I never felt alone.”
