On November 20th 2024, Publicis Sapient London hosted ‘JUNTOS’ HOLA’s EMEA first in-person event. JUNTOS aims to recognize Latin talent in the UK working in technology by creating a safe space to celebrate the achievements of our community and role models.
During the event, we had speakers representing global brands - such as Snap, Meta, Scottish Widows, MasterCard, Publicis Sapient and Santander UK – discussing their challenges, victories and learnings on their path to leadership far from their homeland and in a foreign language.
The Latin-American community is a small but equally, is one of the fastest-growing demographic segments in the UK, if we had the Hispanic population to the mix, we have a vibrant and large population of people with the same language, but different backgrounds, traditions and experiences.
During the event, our speakers were able to narrate and share their experiences with over 70 attendees from over +10 Latin-American countries.
Owen LaFave, Senior Director Product Management for Publicis Sapient – and the opening speaker for the event – reflected on the importance of having this type of space by saying:
“...any time there is any community that exist within Publicis Sapient is important for them to be recognized and included in everything that we do... It is important to have different points of view, in this case we are speaking of the Hispanic and Latino community; different points of view lead to better products that resonate better with customers ’
JUNTOS proved to be an amazing event to open Publicis Sapient doors to an external audience of professionals working in technology, this is why this coming November Publicis Sapient and HOLA will host the second edition of the event.
