Publicis Sapient heavily invests in supporting employees through various Business Resource Groups. I am the Co-Lead for enABLE; the BRG is set up to enable anyone with a disability (visible and non-visible) to thrive. We do this by championing the needs of colleagues with disabilities and promoting dialogue and action to foster a more disability confident culture.
When I first heard about enABLE and the work they are doing I really wanted to get involved. I suffer from a chronic pain condition (an invisible disability) and dyslexia, so the initiatives that enABLE focuses on felt very close to my heart. My mom also has an invisible disability as a side effect of the radiation treatment for her cancer, which she survived as a teenager.
As an example of what we do, in December 2019 we celebrated International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) through panel discussions about accessibility, quizzes, and even a global hackathon which was a real success! We have a robust plan for 2021 which will allow us to continuously support our colleagues through the update of policies, knowledge sharing through articles, and fun informative events which I am really looking forward to.
Publicis Sapient really is a great place to work. Despite us being at home, I have felt really connected with my team. We are always finding creative ways to have fun whether it be team quizzes, escape room fun, to ‘Friends’ themed quarantine parody videos!
The learning possibilities and the support you receive are endless. If you are considering new job opportunities whether you are a graduate or not, I highly recommend considering Publicis Sapient.
If Agile Program Management is an area of interest, I recommend having a look at the scrum guide. This clearly lays out the foundations of scrum and is a good place to start and naturally leads on to taking the Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) qualification.
