Job Description

 

We are seeking an experienced Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) Manager to lead the design, architecture, and delivery of enterprise-scale customer engagement solutions on Adobe Experience Cloud.

 

This is a client-facing leadership role requiring deep hands-on expertise in Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO), journey orchestration, email operations, and marketing automation.

 

The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of technical leadership, solution architecture, stakeholder management, and delivery excellence while working within a Global Distributed Delivery (GDD) model.

 

The successful candidate will lead teams, guide clients through transformation initiatives, and deliver scalable, personalized customer experiences across digital channels.

 

Remote work is supported; candidates must be able to collaborate effectively during EST/CST business hours.

 

Your Impact

  • Lead the end-to-end solution architecture, design, and implementation of Adobe Journey Optimizer engagements.
  • Own technical strategy, solution approach, estimations, delivery planning, and governance for AJO programs.
  • Design and develop customer journeys, campaigns, and omnichannel engagement strategies utilizing AJO capabilities.
  • Provide hands-on leadership in:
    • Journey development and orchestration
    • Email channel configuration
    • Email template development
    • Personalization and audience segmentation
    • Experimentation and optimization capabilities
  • Lead at least two enterprise AJO implementations from discovery through production deployment.
  • Partner with clients to understand business objectives, customer engagement strategies, operational requirements, and marketing transformation goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Adobe Experience Platform, Analytics, Data Engineering, CRM, and Marketing Technology stakeholders.
  • Drive best practices around architecture, performance, scalability, governance, testing, and operational excellence.
  • Guide migration initiatives from Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) to Adobe Journey Optimizer, where applicable.
  • Support integration of AJO with Adobe Experience Platform, Customer Journey Analytics, CDPs, CRM platforms, and enterprise marketing ecosystems.
  • Lead distributed delivery teams and mentor consultants, engineers, and marketers to ensure successful project execution.
  • Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders and serve as a strategic advisor throughout program delivery.

Qualifications

Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in Marketing Technology, Customer Experience Platforms, or CRM transformation programs.
  • 4+ years of experience working with Adobe Experience Cloud technologies.
  • Deep hands-on expertise in Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO).
  • Proven experience delivering a minimum of two AJO implementations in a lead role.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Journey orchestration
    • Real-time customer engagement
    • Email operations
    • Email channel setup and configuration
    • Email template design and development
    • Audience segmentation and personalization
    • Experimentation and optimization capabilities
  • Experience designing enterprise-scale customer engagement architectures.
  • Expertise in Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) datasets, schemas, identities, audiences, and profiles.
  • Experience integrating AJO with CRM, CDP, analytics, and marketing technology ecosystems.
  • Strong knowledge of customer lifecycle marketing, campaign management, and omnichannel communications.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery frameworks and Global Distributed Delivery models.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders, facilitate discovery workshops, and present technical solutions to business and executive audiences.
  • Proven track record leading cross-functional teams and managing project delivery across multiple workstreams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders

Set Yourself Apart With

  • Adobe Journey Optimizer certification(s).
  • Experience migrating from Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) to Adobe Journey Optimizer.
  • Experience with Adobe Experience Platform, Real-Time CDP, Customer Journey Analytics, and Adobe Campaign.
  • Knowledge of data architecture, customer identity resolution, and customer profile strategies.
  • Experience in consulting, digital transformation, or enterprise customer engagement programs.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled marketing, personalization, and optimization strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for innovation and future-ready customer engagement solutions aligned to evolving client needs.
