AI Engineer

As an AI Engineer (GenAI / Backend), you will work at the intersection of software engineering, APIs, and intelligent automation, building real-world AI-powered capabilities that move beyond experimentation into production. You will contribute to a mission-critical platform that enables automated processing and configuration of complex distribution networks, leveraging LLMs, APIs, and scalable backend systems. This is a hands-on role where you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and deliver AI-driven features that directly impact business outcomes.

Your Impact

• Build and maintain production-grade Python services supporting backend systems, data workflows, and platform capabilities
• Design and develop RESTful APIs using FastAPI to enable scalable and reliable system integrations
• Integrate LLM-based components into application workflows, refining prompts to improve structured data extraction accuracy
• Implement AI-driven automation features to process and manage network configuration workflows (additions, updates, removals)
• Develop and maintain GraphQL endpoints and ensure seamless integration between internal and external systems
• Work with relational databases and tools such as Databricks to support data ingestion and backend processing
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across APIs, integrations, and AI components to ensure system reliability and performance
• Collaborate with data engineers, product owners, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions
• Contribute to clean code practices, code reviews, and continuous improvement of engineering standards
• Apply emerging AI approaches (e.g., prompt engineering, RAG patterns) to enhance system capabilities and efficiency

Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of experience in Python development.
• Strong proficiency in Python, with experience building backend services and APIs
• Hands-on experience working with LLMs or AI APIs, including prompt design, iteration, and structured data extraction
• Experience building production-grade APIs using FastAPI
• Solid understanding of REST API design principles, SDK/API integrations, and system interoperability
• Working knowledge of GraphQL and its use in modern application architectures
• Experience with SQL and data processing frameworks (e.g., Databricks or similar platforms)
• Exposure to data pipelines and backend processing workflows
• Ability to work independently in a remote, asynchronous environment
• Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken)

• Familiarity with GenAI orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex)
