QA Engineer (Automation – Playwright)- Senior Associate- Public Sector
Job Description
We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer with a passion for quality and a strong focus on test automation using Playwright and TypeScript. In this role, you will go beyond traditional testing—shaping QA strategy, influencing product quality from early stages, and empowering teams through best practices and mentorship. You will play a key role in building robust, scalable automation solutions and driving continuous improvement across modern web and CMS-driven platforms.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable test strategies for web applications and CMS-driven platforms
- Build, maintain, and optimize automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript
- Ensure end-to-end traceability from requirements to automated test coverage
- Drive quality early by applying Shift-Left and risk-based testing principles
- Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, business analysts, and UX teams to enhance testability and product quality
- Participate in test planning, estimation, and risk analysis during Agile ceremonies
- Continuously improve QA processes, tools, and workflows
- Support release validation, deployment checks, and post-release verification
Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and software testing
- Strong expertise in manual and automated testing practices
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Playwright and TypeScript for test automation
- Solid understanding of web application architecture, modern testing approaches, and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with API testing (Postman or similar tools) is a plus
- Hands-on experience with defect tracking and test management tools (Jira, TestRail)
- Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and Shift-Left testing
- Excellent analytical thinking and debugging skills
- Clear and effective communication skills across cross-functional teams
Nice to Have
- Experience with mobile application testing
- ISTQB Certification (Foundation or Advanced Test Automation)
- Experience using AI-assisted tools to improve testing and documentation
- Experience contributing to QA strategy or framework standardization
- Experience testing Drupal-based platforms or other CMS environments
