QA Engineer- Senior Associate- Public Sector
Job Description
We’re looking for a Senior QA Engineer who combines a strong foundation in manual testing with advanced automation skills using Playwright and TypeScript. You’ll play a key role in ensuring quality across web platforms, with a particular focus on CMS (Drupal) environments, while also shaping QA practices, mentoring team members, and driving continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable test strategies for web applications and CMS-driven platforms
- Build, maintain, and optimize automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript
- Ensure end-to-end traceability from requirements to test coverage (manual and automated)
- Drive quality from early stages by applying Shift-Left and risk-based testing principles
- Perform end-to-end, functional, regression, and exploratory testing across complex systems
- Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, business analysts, and UX teams to improve testability and product quality
- Support API testing and validation using tools like Postman
- Participate in test planning, estimation, and risk analysis during Agile ceremonies
- Continuously improve QA processes, tools, and workflows based on team and product needs
- Support release validation, deployment checks, and post-release verification
Your Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and software testing
- Strong expertise in both manual and test automation practices
- 2-3 years experience with Playwright and TypeScript testing
- Solid understanding of web application architecture and modern testing approaches
- Experience with API testing using Postman or similar tools
- Strong experience with defect tracking and test management tools (Jira, TestRail)
- Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and Shift-Left testing
- Strong analytical thinking and debugging skills
- Clear and effective communication across cross-functional teams
Nice to Have
- Experience with mobile application testing
- Exposure to BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber)
- ISTQB Certification (Foundation or Advanced Test Automation)
- Experience using AI-assisted tools to improve test design, automation, and documentation
- Experience contributing to QA strategy or framework standardization across teams
- Experience testing Drupal-based platforms and content management systems
