QE Engineer- Senior Associate-Transport

Tremend is looking for a Senior Quality Engineer who combines strong technical expertise with a leadership mindset. You’ll be hands-on in delivering quality across Web, API, and performance testing layers, while also helping shape QE practices, mentor peers, and foster a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Your Impact:

• Design and implement scalable test strategies for modern web applications, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems
• Develop and maintain robust end-to-end automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript
• Build and maintain automated API testing solutions for functional, integration, and regression coverage
• Design and execute performance and load testing strategies using k6 or similar performance testing frameworks
• Ensure end-to-end traceability from business requirements and user stories to automated test coverage
• Champion Shift-Left practices by embedding quality from the earliest SDLC stages
• Leverage AI-powered tools and AI agents to accelerate test automation, test generation, debugging, analysis, and reporting
• Mentor and coach QE engineers through code reviews, pairing sessions, and continuous feedback
• Influence tooling, frameworks, and quality engineering best practices across teams
• Collaborate daily with developers, product owners, architects, and designers to ensure testability, observability, and quality
• Contribute to test planning, risk analysis, estimation activities, and release readiness assessments

Your Skills & Experience:

• 4+ years of experience in Quality Engineering with emphasis on UI, API, and backend testing
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and TypeScript/JavaScript test automation
• Solid experience with API testing and API test automation
• Experience designing and implementing scalable API automation frameworks
• Practical experience with performance and load testing using k6, JMeter, Gatling, or similar frameworks
• Strong understanding of test automation architecture, maintainability, and scalability principles
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.)
• Proficient in SQL for data validation, test data setup, and troubleshooting
• Confident use of AI-assisted engineering tools and AI agents to accelerate test design, automation development, debugging, documentation, and test data generation
• Experience using AI-driven automation approaches, autonomous testing agents, or LLM-based testing workflows
• Strong grasp of Agile, Scrum, Shift-Left, and Continuous Testing principles
• Advanced debugging and troubleshooting skills using browser developer tools, logs, traces, and monitoring tools
• Proven ability to mentor peers and raise the quality bar within cross-functional engineering teams
• Clear and structured communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to Have:

• Experience designing, implementing, or maintaining AI-agent-based testing frameworks or autonomous QE workflows
• Experience with contract testing and service virtualization tools
• ISTQB or similar certification
