Full Stack Developer (React/React Native + Java)

The Senior Manager – Hands‑on full stack developer is a senior‑level technical leader who combines deep full‑stack engineering expertise with team leadership and delivery accountability. This role is highly hands‑on, contributing directly to design and development while also guiding teams, setting technical direction, and ensuring high‑quality delivery of complex, scalable solutions.

The Senior Manager is expected to code regularly, lead by example, and own critical technical decisions across frontend, backend, APIs, and data services in an enterprise, client‑facing environment.

  • Hands‑On Engineering

    • Design, develop, and deliver end‑to‑end full‑stack features across frontend (React / React Native) and backend (Java, Spring Boot)
    • Build and maintain REST and GraphQL APIs using a spec‑driven, API‑first approach
    • Develop and integrate web and mobile UIs with backend services to support complete user journeys
    • Design and optimize data models and persistence layers (PostgreSQL or similar)
    • Implement secure, scalable solutions with proper authentication and authorization (OAuth, RBAC)
    • Ensure high standards for performance, resilience, reliability, and maintainability

    Technical Leadership

    • Act as a technical lead and hands‑on architect, owning key design and implementation decisions
    • Design reusable components, shared services, and common frameworks aligned with enterprise architecture standards
    • Review code and designs to ensure best practices in quality, security, and scalability
    • Guide adoption of cloud‑native and modern engineering practices (AWS preferred)
    • Bring practical experience with AI‑enabled and agentic development approaches into solution design where applicable

    Team & Delivery Leadership

    • Lead and mentor full‑stack engineers while remaining actively involved in day‑to‑day development
    • Set clear technical standards, development practices, and engineering discipline across the team
    • Participate directly in sprint planning, technical refinement, estimates, and trade‑off discussions
    • Partner with product, design, and architecture to clarify requirements and drive execution
    • Support structured delivery by balancing hands‑on execution with planning, dependency management, and risk awareness

    Stakeholder Collaboration

    • Work closely with cross‑functional and client stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
    • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences
    • Support client‑facing engagements through hands‑on problem solving and technical credibility

Qualifications

Required Skills

  • Strong, current coding experience in:

    • Backend: Java, Spring Boot
    • APIs: REST and GraphQL
  • Experience designing and working with relational data stores (PostgreSQL preferred)
  • Experience delivering cloud‑based solutions (AWS preferred)
  • Solid understanding of application security, including OAuth, RBAC, and secure API design
  • Proven ability to lead engineers while remaining deeply hands‑on
  • Experience working in structured, enterprise delivery environments
  • Strong problem‑solving, debugging, and performance‑tuning skills
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort operating in client‑facing settings

Preferred / Good to Have
