Full Stack Developer (React/React Native + Java)
Hands‑On Engineering
- Design, develop, and deliver end‑to‑end full‑stack features across frontend (React / React Native) and backend (Java, Spring Boot)
- Build and maintain REST and GraphQL APIs using a spec‑driven, API‑first approach
- Develop and integrate web and mobile UIs with backend services to support complete user journeys
- Design and optimize data models and persistence layers (PostgreSQL or similar)
- Implement secure, scalable solutions with proper authentication and authorization (OAuth, RBAC)
- Ensure high standards for performance, resilience, reliability, and maintainability
Technical Leadership
- Act as a technical lead and hands‑on architect, owning key design and implementation decisions
- Design reusable components, shared services, and common frameworks aligned with enterprise architecture standards
- Review code and designs to ensure best practices in quality, security, and scalability
- Guide adoption of cloud‑native and modern engineering practices (AWS preferred)
- Bring practical experience with AI‑enabled and agentic development approaches into solution design where applicable
Team & Delivery Leadership
- Lead and mentor full‑stack engineers while remaining actively involved in day‑to‑day development
- Set clear technical standards, development practices, and engineering discipline across the team
- Participate directly in sprint planning, technical refinement, estimates, and trade‑off discussions
- Partner with product, design, and architecture to clarify requirements and drive execution
- Support structured delivery by balancing hands‑on execution with planning, dependency management, and risk awareness
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with cross‑functional and client stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences
- Support client‑facing engagements through hands‑on problem solving and technical credibility
Qualifications
Required Skills
- 10+ years of overall software engineering experience with significant hands‑on full‑stack development
- Strong, current coding experience in:
- Frontend: React and/or React Native
- Backend: Java, Spring Boot
- APIs: REST and GraphQL
- Experience designing and working with relational data stores (PostgreSQL preferred)
- Experience delivering cloud‑based solutions (AWS preferred)
- Solid understanding of application security, including OAuth, RBAC, and secure API design
- Proven ability to lead engineers while remaining deeply hands‑on
- Experience working in structured, enterprise delivery environments
- Strong problem‑solving, debugging, and performance‑tuning skills
- Excellent communication skills and comfort operating in client‑facing settings
Preferred / Good to Have
- Experience in wealth management, financial services, or other regulated industries
- Exposure to AI frameworks, LLMs, or agentic development patterns in production systems
- Experience designing and deploying services using API gateways
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
Additional Information
Pay Range: $162,000 - $240,000
The range shown represents a grouping of relevant ranges currently in use at Publicis Sapient. Actual range for this position may differ, depending on location and specific skillset required for the work.
