As a Senior Pega Developer, you will play a key role in designing and delivering high‑impact Pega solutions that run at scale in complex, production‑critical environments. You will work in distributed, cross‑regional teams supporting enterprise clients, primarily in regulated industries such as healthcare, financial services, and telecommunications.

Your Impact

  • Design, build, and enhance end‑to‑end Pega case management solutions using Pega 8.x through Infinity, including Constellation where applicable.
  • Own the runtime behavior of Pega applications, ensuring stability, scalability, and reliability in production environments.
  • Implement and maintain background processing strategies using agents, queues, job schedulers, and asynchronous patterns to support high‑volume workflows.
  • Build and support enterprise integrations using REST/SOAP services, ensuring resiliency, error handling, and minimal downstream impact.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex production issues using debugging and performance tools such as Tracer, Clipboard, logs, PAL, PDC, and monitoring platforms.
  • Drive performance optimization through efficient data models, indexing strategies, data pages, and guardrail‑compliant design.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, product owners, QA, and operations teams to deliver features safely from development through production.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing best practices, mentoring peers, and strengthening engineering discipline across teams.

Qualifications

Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of hands‑on experience developing enterprise applications using Pega PRPC (7.x, 8.x, Infinity).
  • Strong foundation in core Pega concepts, including:
    • Case types, stages, and flows
    • Data pages, data transforms, and declarative rules
    • Activities, decision logic, and report definitions
  • Demonstrated experience with background processing, including agents, queues, job schedulers, retries, and exception handling.
  • Proven ability to debug complex issues using Pega tooling (Tracer, Clipboard, logs, PAL, PDC) and structured root‑cause analysis.
  • Experience optimizing application performance through:
    • Efficient data access patterns
    • Database indexing and query tuning
    • Guardrail‑compliant design decisions
  • Hands‑on experience building and supporting REST/SOAP integrations with external systems.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices and Pega Deployment Manager.
  • Solid SQL knowledge and understanding of relational databases.
  • Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments with distributed teams.
  • Strong English communication skills, comfortable working with stakeholders across regions.

  • Experience supporting production environments, including incident troubleshooting and post‑release stabilization.
  • Exposure to Pega Constellation and modern UI configuration.
  • Experience working in regulated or high‑availability domains such as healthcare, banking, insurance, or telecom.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Dynatrace, Splunk).
  • Ability to explain technical decisions clearly and collaborate effectively in client‑facing settings.
  • Mentorship experience or informal technical leadership within development teams.
