Senior Java / Microsoft Integrations (SAP) [Contracting]
Job Description
Your Impact
- Design and develop enterprise-grade integrations between SAP and external systems using Java and/or Microsoft technologies
- Build and maintain APIs, services, and middleware integrations connecting SAP (e.g., ECC, S/4HANA) with cloud and on‑prem applications
- Work with integration patterns such as synchronous/asynchronous messaging, event-driven architecture, and batch processing
- Collaborate with SAP functional teams to translate business requirements into technical integration solutions
- Develop and maintain REST/SOAP services, message mappings, and orchestration logic
- Ensure integrations meet security, performance, reliability, and scalability standards
- Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of integration issues across SAP and non-SAP systems
- Contribute to architecture decisions and integration best practices
Qualifications
Skills & Experience
Core Technical Background (Must Have)
- Strong Java and/or Microsoft (.NET / C#) development experience
- Proven experience building integrations involving SAP systems
- Hands-on experience with API-based integrations (REST, SOAP, OData)
- Experience with middleware or integration platforms, such as:
- SAP PI/PO or SAP CPI
- MuleSoft, Boomi, Azure Integration Services, or similar
- Solid understanding of enterprise integration patterns
- Experience working in distributed, service-oriented architectures
SAP Exposure (Important)
- Experience integrating with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA
- Familiarity with SAP interfaces such as:
- IDocs
- BAPIs
- RFCs
- OData services
- Ability to work effectively with SAP functional and basis teams
Set Yourself Apart With
- Experience with Azure or AWS integration services
- Knowledge of event streaming/messaging (Kafka, Azure Service Bus, etc.)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for integration components
- Exposure to finance, supply chain, or enterprise ERP domains
