Marketing Internship | First-Generation College Student
Job Description
This Marketing Internship program is designed and available for first-generation college students.
As a Marketing Intern, you will do more than contribute. You will take ownership. From day one, you will help shape strategies that drive business growth, elevate our brand, and strengthen how we connect with the clients and prospects who matter most. You will be immersed in real marketing work within a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your thinking, creativity, and execution can make a measurable impact.
Throughout the summer, you will contribute across high-impact initiatives and lead a dedicated project designed to deliver meaningful, lasting value to the organization. This is not a hypothetical assignment. It is work that will continue to create impact beyond your internship and serve as a tangible example of your leadership and results.
You will gain exposure to a broad range of marketing focus areas, including Event Marketing, Brand and Talent Brand, Revenue Marketing including lead and demand generation, Product Marketing, PR, and Communications. Along the way, you will collaborate with cross-functional partners, learn how modern marketing drives growth at scale, and build practical skills that accelerate your career.
This internship runs from June 3rd through August 7th 2026.
Interns are expected to work onsite at our Chicago office Monday through Friday.
What will you do:
- Learn to undertake research and analysis to help us understand opportunity areas against our competition.
- Provide insights and feedback to the marketing teams to support our growth as well as enabling us to strengthen and deepen the insights we provide across the organization.
- Support the launch of multichannel campaigns and journeys, analyzing the performance of these campaigns and journeys to build a foundation of data acumen.
- Assess the awareness of our brand through research to understand quarter over quarter improvements.
- Drive event strategies that are aligned to our objectives and help execute a series of events.
- Partner with functions across the marketing and communications team to understand how cross-function teams work together to launch work and optimize how they work together to continually improve our work.

- A concrete view into marketing and the opportunity to explore all functions and potential roles that exist within the Publicis Sapient Marketing Organization.
- At the end of the program, you will share your impact and learnings through a final presentation and be supported in the development and delivery by your supervisor.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Identify as a First-Generation College Student
- A first-generation college student is a person whose parents or guardians have not earned a four-year bachelor’s degree.
- Rising college Senior who is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in marketing, with a strong academic record and demonstrated interest in brand building, growth strategy, and modern marketing practices. Alternatively, students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, public relations, or economics must have a declared minor in marketing and a clear passion for applying marketing strategy to drive business impact.
- Strong project management and operational aptitude with the ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives.
- Self-starter who is results-oriented, resourceful, analytical, innovative, intellectually curious and takes initiative and risks.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Demonstrate strong ability to embrace and adapt to change, take initiative, and display curiosity, learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools/programs.
- Previous work experience, clubs, volunteerism, or internships is a plus.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in project management/event management is a plus.
- Exposure to or firsthand experience using AI tools to enhance execution and productivity (e.g., applying AI within Excel, project management platforms, research, content development, copy, or workflow optimization).
Eligibility
- Undergraduate with completion of Junior Year
- Available for a 10-week internship from June 3rd to August 7th 2026 and able to come into our Chicago office daily.
- Available to work 40 hours per week.
Additional Information
Compensation: $31.00 per hour
