Full Stack Eng (React + Java/Python + AI Driven Development)

We are looking for a Full-Stack Engineer (React-first) with strong frontend expertise and solid backend experience in Java and/or Python, combined with a deep curiosity for AI-augmented engineering.

In this role, you will primarily drive frontend architecture and development using React, while contributing to backend services and APIs that power scalable, production-grade platforms. You will leverage AI coding agents (GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, etc.) to accelerate delivery, enhance code quality, and evolve modern engineering practices.

This is a true builder role—focused on shipping real products at scale, not prototypes—while helping define how AI is integrated into everyday software development.

• Lead the development of modern, scalable front-end applications using React, TypeScript, and component-driven architecture.
• Contribute to backend development using Java (Spring Boot) and/or Python, building robust APIs and services.
• Design and implement end-to-end full-stack solutions, ensuring seamless integration between frontend and backend layers.
• Leverage AI coding agents (Copilot, Claude, Cursor, etc.) to accelerate development, generate code, improve tests, and optimize performance.
• Build clean, reusable UI components and design systems aligned with enterprise-grade standards.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and architects to translate complex requirements into intuitive user experiences.
• Apply modern engineering practices: CI/CD, automated testing, performance optimization, and cloud-native development.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues across the stack using both traditional techniques and AI-assisted workflows.
• Contribute to evolving best practices for AI-assisted full-stack development.

Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of hands-on experience building full-stack applications, with a strong emphasis on frontend development.
• Advanced proficiency in React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frontend architecture (hooks, state management, component design).
• Solid backend experience with Java (Spring Boot) and/or Python (Flask, FastAPI, Django).
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Practical experience using AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor) in day-to-day development.
• Ability to demonstrate how AI tools are used to:
  • generate and refactor code
  • improve or create tests
  • debug issues and analyze logs
  • scaffold applications or accelerate development workflows
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and DevOps fundamentals.
• Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
• Experience working in agile, product-oriented teams delivering real business outcomes.

Set Yourself Apart With

• Experience integrating LLMs into applications (RAG, prompt engineering, embeddings, agent workflows).
• Exposure to frontend performance optimization, design systems, and advanced UI patterns.
• Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, Kinesis, Pulsar).
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and modern deployment pipelines.
• Contributions to open-source projects, internal accelerators, or AI engineering initiatives.

Contract Modality: This role is open for permanent/contractor positions in Colombia and Mexico, and as a contractor role only in Brazil.

For contractor engagements, the project duration is one year, with a high likelihood of extension based on project continuity and performance.
