Job Description

We are looking for a technically strong Data Engineering Leader who can drive initiatives across data lake infrastructure, large-scale data pipelines, and analytics platforms. This role demands a blend of technical depth, hands-on engineering skills, and leadership capabilities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in data architecture and engineering, lead cross-functional technical teams, and translate complex business needs into scalable data solutions. You will work closely with product owners, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver high-impact outcomes that are both technically robust and business-relevant.

Leadership & Communication

  • Proven ability to lead and mentor cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Skilled in engaging with business stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Adept at translating business challenges into actionable technical solutions.

Data Architecture & Engineering

  • Strong expertise in data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data lake design.
  • Proficient in Scala, apart from Apache Spark, NoSQL databases, and SQL/Python for data transformation.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure data services (e.g., S3, Glue, Redshift, Databricks, Synapse).
  • Experience with data performance optimization, scalability, and cost-efficiency in cloud environments.

Gen AI & Copilot-Style Integration

  • Exposure to integrating LLMs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, etc.) into business workflows.
  • Familiarity with Copilot-style interfaces, prompt engineering, embeddings, and RAG architectures.

MLOps & AI Agent Frameworks

  • Exposure to LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or similar agentic AI frameworks.
  • Experience deploying ML models or AI agents into production

Qualifications

Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong emphasis on Big Data architectures and distributed systems
  • Proven expertise with Big Data and streaming technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Flink, and similar frameworks
  • Hands-on experience designing and operating cloud-based data platforms on AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, and/or Java for large-scale data processing and analytics
  • Extensive experience building, orchestrating, and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as Apache NiFi, Airflow, Talend, or equivalent
  • Deep understanding of data modeling, data lakes, data warehousing, and modern analytics architectures
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, metadata management, data quality, and data governance frameworks
  • Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms
  • Solid financial services domain knowledge, including experience in wealth management or asset management, and familiarity with financial data structures, regulatory reporting, and analytics use cases
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on performance optimization, scalability, and reliability
  • Proven experience leading and mentoring data engineering teams within an Agile delivery environment
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business insights
  • Advance English

  • Experience in real-time data processing, event-driven architectures, and streaming analytics.
