Associate Director, Business Development (Salesforce)

Role summary

We are looking for a senior business developer to drive new Salesforce revenue by creating opportunities in whitespace accounts, supporting Client Partners on strategic pursuits, and expanding cross-sell opportunities with other Publicis Groupe agencies.

Key responsibilities

  • Drive new Salesforce business: Build and close new opportunities for Salesforce consulting, implementation, and managed services in both existing and new enterprise accounts.
  • Open whitespace accounts: Identify high-potential targets, develop pursuit strategies, and convert early conversations into qualified pipeline and active deals.
  • Support Client Partners on strategic accounts: Work closely with Client Partners to shape account growth plans, qualify opportunities, and co-lead pursuit strategies for new Salesforce initiatives.
  • Lead co-sell with Salesforce: Build strong working relationships with Salesforce Account Executives and partner teams; execute joint account planning, opportunity mapping, and go-to-market actions.
  • Expand cross-sell across Publicis Groupe: Identify opportunities to combine Salesforce with capabilities from other Groupe agencies (media, creative, data, commerce, CX) and build integrated client propositions.
  • Own the full sales cycle: Lead qualification, discovery, solution shaping, proposal development, commercial negotiation, and contracting through to close.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams: Align sales, alliances, marketing, and delivery teams to ensure pursuits are well-orchestrated, competitive, and executable.
  • Maintain commercial and delivery discipline: Ensure deals are commercially robust, margin-aware, and realistic from a delivery standpoint.
  • Manage pipeline and forecast quality: Keep strong pipeline hygiene, stage progression, and forecast accuracy to support predictable growth.
  • Represent the practice externally: Support Publicis Sapient’s visibility in Salesforce and industry forums to strengthen market credibility and relationship networks.

Required experience

  • 10+ years in enterprise business development / sales (consulting, SI, or professional services).
  • Strong track record in new business acquisition and strategic account growth.
  • Proven success selling Salesforce-related services and transformation programs.
  • Hands-on experience working directly with Salesforce teams and Account Executives on joint pursuits, co-sell motions, and account planning.
  • Experience working in matrix environments across sales, delivery, alliances, and marketing.
  • Strong executive communication and negotiation skills.

Success in this role

  • Consistent qualified pipeline and closed Salesforce revenue.
  • Measurable wins co-led with Client Partners.
  • Tangible cross-sell pipeline/revenue with other Publicis Groupe agencies.
  • High-quality forecasting and disciplined deal execution.
