Job Description

 

As a Senior Support Engineer (Java + React), you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of critical enterprise applications built on Java back-end services and React front-end interfaces. You will work closely with development teams, product owners, and infrastructure partners to troubleshoot complex issues, deliver high‑quality support, and contribute to application enhancements that drive business outcomes.

 

 

Your Impact

  • Provide advanced technical support for Java-based backend services and React front-end applications.
  • Troubleshoot production issues across the full stack, including APIs, UI components, integrations, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Monitor application performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to drive root cause analysis (RCA) and implement long‑term fixes.
  • Support application releases, patches, hotfixes, and environment maintenance activities.
  • Maintain and improve system documentation, including technical runbooks, architectures, and support workflows.
  • Ensure alignment with security, compliance, and governance requirements.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand issues, replicate defects, and recommend improvements.
  • Automate recurring support tasks to increase operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to code reviews, minor bug fixes, and enhancements as needed.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies in Java, React, cloud services, and application management to bring best practices to the team.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in application support, software engineering, or system analysis in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong hands-on experience with: Java (Spring, Spring Boot, RESTful services) React.js (Hooks, state management, component lifecycle)
  • Proven experience troubleshooting full-stack applications in production environments.
  • Proficiency with SQL, debugging tools, log analysis, and monitoring platforms (e.g., Splunk, Datadog, Grafana).
  • Experience using incident management and ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Jira, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management) and experience applying ITIL best practices in day-to-day operations.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and source control (Git, GitHub, Azure DevOps).
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their impact on application performance and reliability.
  • Experience with performance tuning, scalability analysis, and resolving complex production issues. Solid analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities

  • Experience in DevOps practices (pipelines, automation, containerization, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of application security best practices, vulnerability remediation, and secure coding principles.
  • Familiarity with microservices architectures and message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies and cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Certifications in Java development, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), or ITIL.
