Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Bid Manager to join our Growth team in the Nordics. The location can be Copenhagen, Malmö, Gothenburg, or Stockholm, where we have our offices. This role plays a crucial role in driving the success of our proposals and growth process by securing new key client contracts and supporting the Nordic Business Development Lead and Client Partners by managing the proposal process for the market. The role ensures that all sales activities are well-executed and that proposals are compelling, accurate, and timely. The role requires a blend of strategic thinking, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. The Senior Bid Manager will report directly into the Senior Director, Business Development Lead in Copenhagen and will be aligned to the Nordic ‘Sales & Leadership’ team. 

Qualifications

  • End-to-End Bid Management: Proven ability to manage the entire bid lifecycle, including planning, execution, and post-submission reviews, ensuring alignment with client expectations and organizational goals.
  • Technical and Commercial Expertise: A strong understanding of IT solutions, technologies, and services, combined with the ability to clearly articulate their commercial and technical value to clients. Additionally, the capability to explain Sapient s comparative advantage within the competitive landscape.
  • Proposal Development Skills: Expertise in writing, reviewing, and editing high-quality proposals, ensuring compliance with client requirements and adherence to organisational standards.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Demonstrated success in coordinating with internal teams, such as sales, technical experts, and legal teams, to develop cohesive and competitive bids.
  • Client-Focused Approach: Ability to analyse client needs and tailor proposals to meet their unique challenges and objectives, ensuring a customer-centric narrative.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with public and private procurement frameworks, particularly in the European market, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly convey complex ideas and create compelling presentations. Proficiency in at least one Scandiavian language is a strong advantage.
  • Deadline and Quality Management: Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines, without compromising the quality and accuracy of deliverables.
  • Risk Assessment: Proficiency in identifying and mitigating risks associated with bids, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s risk tolerance and strategic goals.
  • Budget and Resource Planning: Experience in managing bid budgets and resources effectively, optimizing costs without compromising on proposal quality.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Skilled in using data and analytics to assess bid performance, identify areas for improvement, and refine future strategies.
  • Market Awareness: Strong understanding of market trends, competitor strategies, and client expectations within the IT industry.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring all proposals are accurate, persuasive, and compliant with client specifications.
  • Adaptability: Proven ability to thrive in dynamic, high-pressure environments, adapting quickly to changing priorities and challenges.
  • Tool Proficiency: Hands-on experience with bid management tools, collaboration platforms, and documentation systems to streamline processes.
