Lead Backend Engineer and Developer

As a Lead Engineer specializing in Java Microservices, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable, high-performance microservices-based solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to architect and deliver cutting-edge Java-based solutions that drive digital transformation for our clients.

Your Impact

• Lead the design and development of Java-based microservices architectures, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.

• Collaborate with product managers, architects, designers and engineering teams to define technical roadmaps and deliver business-critical solutions.

• Implement best practices for microservices development, including API design, service discovery, and fault tolerance.

• Optimize Java applications for cloud-native environments, leveraging Kubernetes, Docker, and serverless technologies.

• Drive automation and CI/CD best practices to ensure rapid and reliable deployment of microservices.

• Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.

• Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, ensuring our solutions are cutting-edge and competitive.

Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in Java development, with a strong focus on microservices architecture.

• Expertise in Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Quarkus and other Java-based frameworks for building cloud-native applications.

• Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, event-driven architectures, and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar).

• Proficiency in containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.

• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their integration with Java-based microservices.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps best practices.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a passion for delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.

• Fluent in Italian and English.

Set Yourself Apart With

• Certifications in Java, Spring, or cloud technologies (AWS Certified Developer, Azure Developer Associate, etc.).

• Working knowledge with occasional hands-on experience in React and Next.js frontend framework

• Knowledge of API gateways, service mesh, and distributed tracing tools.

• Background in performance tuning and optimization of Java applications.

• Prior hands-on experience with headless CMS platforms such as Contentstack.llyuic
