Job Description

The research data analyst will work in the data management team to support various projects such as data curation, submission, quality verification of clinical datasets, and performing data analysis etc.
Qualified applicants must be detail-oriented, result-driven individuals who work well within team environments and have good interpersonal skills, as well as good analytical and communication skills.

 

Your impact:

  • Assist researchers to submit data into a web-based data management system
  • Work closely with researchers to assist with data mapping and data submission; perform ad hoc data entry; and ensure quality of submitted datasets
    • Collaborate in development of new data collection forms
    • Detect problems in data collection forms and data submissions
  • Provide user support and technical guidance to a wide end user audience.
    • Provides training on use of the data management system (including updates and changes)
    • Plans and directs computer-aided instructional sessions and workshops
  • Perform data analysis to produce reports
  • Maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for data submission, curation and reporting
  • Update data management system documentation
  • Collaborate with the IT team in testing and maintaining the data management system

 

 

Required Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a related field: life sciences, health programs, clinical research, NIH grants, or other related government/health research programs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Excel, expertise preferred
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills with the ability to adapt to a dynamic project environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing)
  • Prefer to have programing knowledge using Python, SQL, R, etc. for data analysis or manipulation
  • Strong skills in organizing and tracking data and performing analyses
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Legal Permanent Resident
  • Eligible for U.S. Government Clearance

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred: scientific discipline accompanied with basic understanding of the clinical research and data management processes)
