QA Engineer (Payments & POS)

Tremend is looking for a QA Engineer to join our team of bright thinkers and doers. You’ll use your problem-solving creativity to tackle complex challenges in the FinTech space. Responsibilities:

Testing & Execution:

• Execute manual testing for POS devices, ATMs, and MFMs, ensuring smooth migration between vendors and implementation of new functionalities.
• Perform End-to-End testing for Card transactions (from authorization to settlement) and mobile banking apps (Front End, Backend, microservices).
• Analyze and validate ISO 8583 messages for POS and card transaction flows.
• Reconcile transactions made on ATMs and POS systems.
• Configure POS devices for specific test scenarios (parameters, keys, firmware updates, environment setup)

Analysis & Planning:

• Analyze business requirements and technical documentation to elaborate comprehensive test plans.
• Create detailed test cases for POS flows and payment scenarios, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
• Prepare and organize test data to fulfill all preconditions for effective testing.

Collaboration:

• Collaborate with operational and development teams for defect reporting, fix validation, and production release preparation.
• Identify, report, and monitor defects using tracking tools.
• Your Skills & Experience:

Domain Expertise:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the card payments industry.
• Strong hands-on experience with POS testing, including test case design, device configuration, and execution.
• Solid understanding of ISO 8583 message structure and validation.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in SQL (CRUD operations, JOINs, conditional queries).
• Experience executing API test scenarios (Postman, etc.).
• Familiarity with test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., TestRail, Jira, GitLab).
• Soft Skills:
• Strong attention to detail when analyzing technical specs.
• Proactive team player with excellent communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
