Job Description

As an Experience Design Lead you will take a leading role in creating compelling and emotionally resonant user and service experiences for a variety of clients and large omni-channel solutions across web, mobile, social, physical space and other interactive channels. In your work you will blend story and technology to make a significant impact to the client’s business, brand and the always-on consumer.  

You will work in multi-disciplinary teams across every stage of the experience, leading client engagement throughout the design process from incubating new product ideas and features to prototyping and testing high fidelity solutions with customers. Your Impact 

  • Lead the preparation and facilitation of ethnographic research, stakeholder interviews and data synthesis to identify critical user insights and develop key hypotheses for the user experience 
  • Translate customer needs into visually compelling creative concepts and create the solution’s interaction and navigation design for large scale and multi-modal solutions 
  • Communicate key aspects of a proposed user experience to clients and how it delivers on customer needs, business objectives and brand considerations.  
  • Influence, shape and position ideas for customer impact within the team and with clients 
  • Propose optimizations and creative approaches to systems that can cultivate impact for users’ needs 
  • Serve as the primary facilitator for client meetings, workshops and final presentations.  
  • Possess an outstanding POV on craft, tools and process
  • Collaborate with other experience designers, content, business strategists, product owners, and specifically software developers throughout the end-to-end design and build process. 
  • Clarify and define success metrics for client and business impact 
  • Lead and manage projects autonomously 
  • Lead and inspire teams of experience and visual designers on projects, mentor junior talent, and take an active role in driving culture via knowledge sharing, show and tells. 
  • Work with other craft leads to identify tools, templates, and techniques to evolve the ways of working in the experience design practice. 
  • Partner to create new, innovative concepts for our existing clients in pitches and other sales pursuits. 

Qualifications

  • Experience working within multi-disciplinary, agile delivery teams on large-scale projects. 
  • Diverse portfolio of responsive web and native application design. 
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Microsoft or other major CRM/Cloud platforms. 
  • Proficient in tools used throughout the end-to-end design process. 
  • Skilled in conducting qualitative and quantitative user research and analytics. 
  • Expertise in complex system and process mapping, customer journey mapping, and user flows. 
  • Ability to facilitate co-design and ideation workshops. 
  • Strong wireframing and prototyping skills, with advanced knowledge of Figma. 
  • Experience with component-based design-development and design systems. 
  • Proficiency in designing navigation systems, information architecture, sitemaps, and interaction design. 
  • Capable of planning and facilitating usability testing sessions. 
  • Experience creating process and specification documents, collaborating with designers and engineers to transition wireframes to production-ready code. 
  • Strong communication skills, including expectation setting and stakeholder engagement. 
  • Consulting experience with a focus on delivering strategic design solutions. 
  • Experience working in one or more of the following industries: Public Sector (Government and education), Retail and consumer products, Financial Services.

  • Prior experience in the public sector and financial services. 
  • Strong understanding of WCAG accessibility guidelines and inclusive design principles. 
  • Expertise in content strategy and experience with major CMS platforms. 
  • Passion for delivering exceptional experiences that positively impact customers' lives. 
  • Empathetic, intellectually curious, and open to learning about new industries, fields, and disciplines. 
  • Experience working within innovation incubation or cross-departmental teams. 
  • Proficiency in prototyping with code, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, React Native, etc. 
  • Experience designing for emerging technologies such as AI, W3, AR, and immersive experiences.
