QE Engineer (Cypress Experience)-Senior Associate-Financial Services

Tremend is looking for a Senior QE with Cypress experience who combines strong technical skills with a leadership mindset. You’ll be hands-on in delivering quality across Web, API, and backend layers, while also helping to shape QE practices, mentor peers, and foster a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.

Your Impact:

• Design and implement scalable test strategies for modern web apps and RESTful APIs
• Develop and maintain robust Cypress automation frameworks in TypeScript
• Ensure end-to-end traceability from user stories to automated tests
• Champion Shift-Left practices by embedding quality from the earliest SDLC stages
• Mentor and coach QE engineers through reviews, pairing, and continuous feedback
• Influence tooling, frameworks, and quality engineering best practices across teams
• Collaborate daily with developers, product owners, and designers to ensure testability and quality
• Contribute to test planning, risk analysis, and estimation activities in planning sessions.

Your Skills & Experience:

• 4+ years in Quality Engineering with emphasis on frontend and API testing
• Advanced Cypress + TypeScript automation experience
• Solid understanding of API testing using REST and/or GraphQL
• Proficient in SQL for data validation and test data management
• Practical experience integrating Cypress into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.)
• Confidently use AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate test design, automation development, debugging, documentation, and test data generation.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for test environment management or mocking
• Strong grasp of Agile, Scrum, and Shift-Left testing principles
• Advanced debugging skills using browser dev tools, logs, and network traces
• Proven ability to mentor peers and raise the quality bar in cross-functional teams
• Clear, structured communicator comfortable working across engineering and product teams.

Nice to have:

• Experience designing, implementing, or maintaining AI agent harnesses that support software engineering or Quality Engineering workflows.
• Experience with mobile automation frameworks (Appium, Detox)
• ISTQB or similar certification
