Job Description

As a Senior Automation Quality Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of delivering top-notch software solutions, driving quality and functionality through automated functional testing. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with a dynamic team to design, execute, and report on automated test cases, ensuring that systems align with business requirements and exceed client expectations.

 

Your Impact: 

  • Develop and maintain custom scripts to automate testing processes across the organization, particularly API testing, to ensure seamless system integrations.
  • Work with clients and teams to understand their process workflows and identify opportunities for automation, particularly in areas where API testing plays a critical role.
  • Design, implement, and test new automation solutions to ensure they meet business requirements.
  • Maintain and improve existing automation solutions, keeping them up-to-date with changes in technology, business processes, and evolving API standards.
  • Monitor automated processes to ensure they are running smoothly and take corrective action when necessary.
  • Generate reports on the performance of automated processes and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Keep abreast of new developments in automation technology and suggest ways to incorporate them into the organization’s systems.
  • Assist in the development of training materials and provide support to users of automated systems.
  • Write technical documentation for automation solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in process automation.

Qualifications

Your Skills and Experience: 

 

  • Strong experience in developing automation testing scripts, particularly for API testing.
  • Proficient in JavaScript/Java and Cucumber/Selenium for automation and testing purposes.
  • Knowledge and experience in API performance testing, including using tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or Postman.
  • Deep understanding and exposure to DevOps environments and CI/CD processes. 
  • Experience working with a range of application architectures, including Windows, Web, Mobile, and APIs.
  • Proven experience in defect raising, tracking, management, and retesting using recognized tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Experience testing within an Agile methodology, particularly in functional testing.
  • Demonstrated ability in stakeholder management and communication.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to summarize complex information concisely and objectively.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deliverables efficiently.
  • Flexibility in approach to tasks, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and demands.
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple applications and test teams.

  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS)

 

Additional Information

This position is hybrid: the client for this specific project requires attendance at our Sabana offices three times a week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) during the first 2-3 months to ensure a smooth ramp-up. After this period, office attendance will become more flexible based on project needs.
