Software Development Engineer 1
As an Associate Software Development Engineer 1, you will be responsible for supporting and enhancing DevOps practices within our engineering teams. You will work closely with developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to automate and streamline the software delivery process. This role will give you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools, while contributing to the overall efficiency and scalability of our development operations.
Your Impact
- Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth integration of DevOps practices into the software development lifecycle.
- Help manage and optimize cloud infrastructure to support scalable and reliable applications.
- Monitor and troubleshoot deployment and performance issues, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Contribute to the development of automation scripts and tools to improve operational efficiency.
- Stay up to date with emerging DevOps trends and technologies, and recommend best practices for continuous improvement.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of DevOps principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
- Basic knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or PowerShell.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Set Yourself Apart With
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Exposure to monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
- Familiarity with security best practices in cloud and DevOps environments.
- Certifications in AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer, or similar.
