Senior Enactor POS Software Engineer (Java)

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Low Code Platforms and Enactor POS Integration to support a large-scale POS implementation project. This role will focus on designing, integrating, and extending POS functionality to enable seamless in-store and omnichannel customer experiences. The engineer will be hands-on in building resilient, scalable solutions, while also working with offshore team as per agreed upon GDD timelines.

Must-Have Duties & Responsibilities

• Enactor Development Environment – Hands-on experience working within an Enactor development environment (Eclipse-based), including configuring and modifying application processes.
• Design & build low-code modules that consume Enactor REST & gRPC services
• Build and configure POS Journeys (Basket, Tender, Returns, Loyalty, Promotions)
• Back-Office (Stock, Reconciliation, Reporting)
• Enactor Toolkit – Strong proficiency with the Enactor Toolkit for managing processes, resources, and configuration settings.
• Configure Enactor transaction flows inside the low-code platform (Enactor Toolkit)
• Enactor Runtime (Microservice Mesh) - Create CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions) that package and deploy low-code modules to Enactor’s micro-services
• Runs across stores, kiosks, mobile, self-checkout, etc.
• Implement real-time synchronous & asynchronous error handling (timeouts, 429/503 retries, circuit breakers)
• Define and enforce SLAs through caching, lazy loading, and payload trimming
• Lead performance & load tests (JMeter, Enactor’s BenchTool)
• Provide L3 support during pilot rollouts and own the RCA process

Good-to-Have Duties & Responsibilities

• Create observability dashboards (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) for low-code + Enactor metrics
• Mentor junior engineers on low-code best practices and Enactor domain knowledge
• Draft solution-architecture documents

Required Qualifications (Must-Have)

• Java (Spring Boot) for writing lightweight custom services or extending Enactor micro-services
• 1+ full-life-cycle Enactor implementation (POS or Order Management)
• Proven ability to model complex JSON/XML schemas in low-code structures
• Strong REST & gRPC API design skills; OAuth2 / mTLS hands-on
• Solid grasp of SDLC, Agile, DevOps, and automated testing practices
• Bachelor’s in CS, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Preferred Qualifications (Good-to-Have)

• React/JavaScript for custom UI widgets inside low-code
• Enactor v18 or v19 certification
• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or NATS for event-driven updates

• Azure APIM / AWS API Gateway configuration
• Terraform / Bicep for infrastructure-as-code automation
